JOMA PRESENTS THE FIRST OFFICIAL RUNNING SHOES OF THE FLORENCE MARATHON
Joma launches the first edition of the official shoe of the Florence Marathon: it is the STORM VIPER, one of the top models of the Joma collection.
Just a few months ago Joma announced that he would become the new technical sponsor of the Florence Marathon, which will take place on November 27. The official shoe of the event, the STORM VIPER FLORENCE MARATHON, has a unique design and is made using the latest technologies Joma, able to ensure greater stability and optimal comfort.
For the first edition of the Florence Marathon sponsored by Joma, the Spanish brand wanted to collect the distinctive features of the city and embed them in a totally personalized graphics. The stylistic choice of Joma to work on the colors and shapes of Florence has given rise to an exclusive design, and is an absolute novelty for the Florence Marathon, now in its 38th edition.
FEATURES OF THE DESIGN
There are two main colors of the STORM VIPER FLORENCE MARATHON: red and white, the colors of the city of Florence. The upper is in fact red, contrasting with the white midsole. Just in the midsole have been set many small red lilies, also present in the inner part of the upper: the lily is in fact the historic symbol of the city. On the side of the shoe, however, there is the name of the event, while in the J of Joma is the tricolor.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The midsole represents a further evolution compared to previous models, and has been designed to maintain the same reactivity further increasing stability through three important changes: insertion of the STABILIS SYSTEM in the heel, a wider base for entry impact and a wider sole.
The STABILIS SYSTEM is a more rigid component injected into the heel that contains the movement of the foot during the support and ensures greater stability. This stability allows you to improve the performance of the runner because the foot will not need to adapt to the ground, but will already be in the ideal conditions to promote the pulse. The STABILIS SYSTEM also helps protect joints, preventing injuries. The stability is increased thanks to a wider midsole to the square heel shape that increases the support base. The inner reinforcement of the tip helps to further improve stability. The runner will feel all the safety of the new Storm Viper in all stages of the race.
Another innovation that promotes comfort is the upper, renewed thanks to greater flexibility and greater ventilation through VTS technology. The reduction of the amount of rubber in the sole helps to lighten the shoe, while the DURABILITY technology, which reduces the abrasion of the soil, promotes the prolongation of the life of the shoe.
The Joma Storm Viper has DROP 8 and is a shoe aimed at runners with a pace exceeding four minutes, who train 4 to 6 times a week and compete on medium and long distances.
