Feel the thrill of the 86th Notturna di San Giovanni, one of Italy’s most iconic races! A 9.9 km competitive course that takes you through Florence’s most breathtaking landmarks, wrapped in the enchantment of the night.
A non-competitive race of 9 km or 4 km is also available.
Since 1938, a tradition honoring Florence’s Patron Saint, blending sport, history, and passion in a truly unique atmosphere. With start and finish in Piazza San Giovanni, right in front of the majestic Duomo, this race is an unforgettable experience for every runner.
Now part of the FIDAL regional calendar, the Notturna di San Giovanni is the perfect event for those who love to challenge themselves while soaking in the beauty of Florence at night.

The race will take place in Florence on Saturday, June 20, 2026, starting at 9:00 PM from Piazza del Duomo.
Competitive race of 9.9 km
At the competitive race can participate:
• All the athletes regurarly register for an Italian sports club affiliated FIDAL (the FIDAL regulation allows the partecipation to all the athletes born since 2006 (20 years old)
• All the italian and foreign athletes resident in Italy or abroad, from 20 years on, in possession of the RUNCARD issued by FIDAL. Upon registration, participants must attach, in DataHealth web portal, a copy of the AGONISTIC MEDICAL CERTIFICATE (for the italian athletes) or the HEALTH FORM (for the foreign athletes) valid on June 20, 2026.
Non competitive race of 9.9 km or 4 km
All can participate at the non competitive race. No documents required
Competitive Run:
- ONLINE, Endu Portal until June 17, 2026 unless the bib number runs out
The athletes registered online can collect the bib number directly in Piazza Duomo on June 21 from 6.30pm
The registrations will close on June, 17 2026
It will be possible to register, ONLY at the non competitive race, on Saturday evening starting from 7PM, directly in Piazza Duomo , unless the bib number runs out
Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable to the following year or to another participant.
